UB-03 Xurkitree Raids

 UB-03 Lightning Xurkitree Raids

#0796 Type: Electric
One of the mysterious life-forms known as Ultra Beasts. Astonishing electric shocks emanate from its entire body, according to witnesses.

What's good folks! Hope you all had a great start to the new year. Pokemon Go is kicking the new year off with one of my personal favorite group of powerful Pokemon, the Ultra Beasts. Unfortunately, this time they aren't being released shiny. As such, I personally don't recommend raiding them if you aren't trying to spend a lot of money. But if you really want the candy and have the money then by all means. I'll be going over the best counters including the best legendaries, shadows, and non legendary non shadows for newer players.

The Ultra Beasts are extradimensional Pokemon that come from Ultra Space through Ultra Wormholes. Their powers are somewhat comparible to legendary Pokemon. First appearances are made in the Sun and Moon games.

Codename: UB03 Electricity
Japanese Codename: UB03 Electricity

Region: Alola

Weaknesses: 1x Ground

Resist: Electric, Flying, Steel

Xurkitree will be in Wormhole 5 star raids from:
January 1, 2024 10 AM till January 10 10 AM local time

Raid Hour: 6-7 PM local time January 3

It will appear alongside Buzzwole and Pheromosa(Will also be covering these guys in the near future). Xurkitree raids will only be available in the Asia-Pacific Region

Perfect IVs: 2249

Boosted Weather IVs(Rainy): 2812

*For extra candy and rare candy farm, you're best Megas to use are those that share the same typing as Xurkitree, Electric. Includes Mega Manectric and Mega Ampharos. One caviat is that they aren't gonna give you the best bang for your buck in terms of damage output.

***While counters vary depending on the Raid boss' moveset, this a general list of some of the best attackers based on Equivalent Rating. I'll highlight some other Pokemon that don't have as high ER but are just as good in terms of  type effectiveness.

***ER may also change depending on your Pokemon's levels and the moveset of the Raid boss. This list isn't going to apply for all specific situations. It's a guide for how in general these counters do compared to others and which ones you might want to consider investing into for your team

To find out more effective teams for yourself checkout Pokebattler (has a more indepth look at counters against Raid bosses with different movesets) and Gamepress
