PvP for Dazzling Dreams
Hello Trainers! Continuing the fairy theme here. Buckle up everyone because we got a slew of PvP viable Pokemon for this short event. Ribombee is getting a shiny debut here but it's not too viable for the Go Battle League. These are the Pokemon to lookout for in the wild
January 13 at 10 AM to January 16 at 8 PM
Fantasy cup runs from January 12 to January 19
Clefable isn't as good in Go Battle League as it once was but with the recent moveset addition of Fairy Wind has given it some more play. It has more play in the Ultra League as it being XL gives it a little more bulk. One of its toughest opponents is Talonflame.
Fantasy Cup- Ranks #46 with Fairy Wind, Meteor Mash, and Moonblast
Rank 1 IV: 0/13/15
Ultra League- Clefable ranks #64 as an XL with the moveset of Fairy Wind, Moonblast, and Meteor Mash
Rank 1 IV: 0/15/13

Jigglypuff
Recommend having Wigglytuff built as it's pretty viable with the Icy Wind update to its moveset. Could see some play in the upcoming Love Cup in February
Great League- Ranks #88 with Charm, Icy Wind, and Disarming Voice
Rank 1 IV: 0/15/12
Fantasy Cup- Ranks #34 same moveset and IVs
Marill
No doubt this is a must have in your arsenal. Azumarill is a well rounded Pokemon for your team. Even with hard counters, you can build around them. Azu just has so much health and defense. As it is only good in the Great League as an XL , it doesn't reach the Ultra League CP.
Great League- Ranks #14 with Bubble, Ice Beam, and Play Rough
Rank 1 IV: 0/15/15
Fantasy Cup- Ranks #3
*The highest ranking fairy on this list
**Watch out for Magnezone, Ferrothorn, and Dedenne
Snubbull
Granbull doesn't rank too high in the Great and Ultra League. Even the Shadow variant doesn't rank too high either. But I will say that if ran with a proper team, it can definitely scare your opponents into using their shields. Its raw power is not to be underestimated
Fantasy Cup- Shadow Granbull ranks #64 with Charm, Close Combat, and Crunch
Rank 1 IV: 0/15/15
Cottonee
Annoying if not prepared for in the Little Cup. Cottonee is pretty good in the little metas. Whimsicott is also not a bad pick for the Great League and certain limited formats. The addition of Fairy Wind to its moveset allows it to get to moves faster than Charm would. Get yourself some good ones for both metas
Great League- Whimsicott ranks #127 with Fairy Wind, Seed Bomb, and Moonblast
Rank 1 IV: 0/14/15
Fantasy Cup- Ranks #44 with same moveset
Flabebe
Great League is not this Pokemon's best placement. Florges shines brighter in the Ultra and Master league where the dragon resistance is definitely nice to have. In the Master League you would probably have to watch out for Ho-oh and Metagross. In the Ultra League, watchout for Talonflame and Registeel. Could be a good idea to keep some good ones for every league
Fantasy Cup- Florges ranks #61 with Fairy Wind, Disarming Voice, and Psychic
Rank 1 IV: 0/14/13
Ultra League- Ranks #48 with Fairy Wind, Disarming Voice, and Moonblast
Rank 1 IV: 0/14/15
Master League- Ranks #16 as an XL with Fairy Wind, Disarming Voice, and Moonblast
Rank 1 IV: 15/15/15 PERFECT
Spritzee
Aromatisse could probably see some success in the upcoming Fantasy Cup. It's only stab fast move is Charm. It could make waves in the meta if it receives Fairy Wind in the future. It has pretty good coverage against most Pokemon in the meta
Fantasy Cup- Ranks #65 with Charm, Moonblast, and Thunderbolt
Rank 1 IV: 0/13/15
This is a pretty unique fairy type compared to others as it gets access to Flamethrower to hit Steel types for super effective which can make it pretty interesting. It also gets Energy Ball which might catch some water type Pokemon by surprise
Fantasy Cup- Ranks #62 with Charm, Flamethrower, and Energy Ball
*Suggest experimenting with Fairy wind as the fast move and Play Rough or Draining Kiss for dragon coverage
Rank 1 IV: 1/14/14
The Kalosian Pikachu doesn't perform very high in the current League formats. It's best performance might just be in the Fantasy Cup. Ranks the highest out of all the other leagues. Watch out for Galarian Stunfisk
Fantasy Cup- Ranks #48 with Thunder Shock, Discharge, and Play Rough
Rank 1 IV: 0/14/12
Morelull
A sleeper pick. Surprisingly doesn't rank that bad in the Fantasy Cup. It's toughest matchup are virtually all steel types. The matchup with Azumarill is a little close. Morelulls also give you a whopping 500 stardust per catch!
Fantasy Cup- Ranks #38 with Astonish, Moonblast, and Seed Bomb
Rank 1 IV: 0/14/15
Togetic
Lately Togetic has seen some play now that it has 2 move updates with Fairy Wind and Aerial Ace. Togekiss is good in the Master League. Be cautious of Metagross and Excadrill in the Master League.
Great League Remix- Togetic ranks #111 with Fairy Wind, Aerial Ace, and Dazzling Gleam
Rank 1 IV: 0/14/14
Fantasy Cup- Togetic ranks #42 with same moveset
Togekiss ranks #82 with Charm, Ancient Power, and Aura Sphere(Exclusive)
Rank 1 IV: 0/14/11
Ultra League- Togekiss ranks #145 with Charm, Ancient Power, and Aura Sphere(Exclusive)
Rank 1 IV: 0/15/15
Master League- Togekiss ranks #82 with same moveset
Rank 1 IV: 15/15/15 PERFECT
That's the scoop on the fairy PvP scene everyone. Good luck with your battles Trainers!
